Patreon poll number three has begun! The poll is open to all paid subscribers, so if you’re not a paid subscriber, why not do so today?1 You can subscribe here and get Energy Corporation benefits for $52, or you can go over to my Patreon and become a World Enterprises Corporation subscriber ($2) or a Parallax Corporation subscriber ($4)3. All levels grant voting privileges, and all levels gain access to my rpg products, depending on word count. Energy Corporation subscribers also have access to the AT70s Request Line: you get the privilege of selecting a movie each month for me to review!4
Here is this month’s slate, which always includes the films not selected from last month. Voters may select as many titles as they like. As last time, and for the foreseeable future, all choices come from “Appendix I: Inspirations” from the rpg book Damnation Decade by Robert J. Toth:
The Boys from Brazil (1978, Franklin J. Schaffner) [3rd month]
The Final Programme (1973, Robert Fuest) [3rd month]
Foxy Brown (1974, Jack Hill) [2nd month]
Smokey and the Bandit (1977, Hal Needham) [New]
Prophecy (1979, John Frankenheimer) [New]
Finally, last month’s poll winner was a tie between Every Which Way But Loose (1977, James Fargo) and Empire of the Ants (1977, Bert I. Gordon). Look for those posts sometime in the back half of May. Request Line selections Master of the Flying Guillotine should be up tomorrow or Wednesday, and 11 Harrowhouse sometime the week after.
Don’t, my Patreon doesn’t exist anymore.↩︎
If you should join the Energy Corporation through this newsletter, I will have to communicate with you via email, Twitter, etc. to get your input on votes and Request Line choices. It’s not a problem, I’m happy to do it, but it may be onerous for you. Joining the Energy Corporation through Patreon means we can communicate through that application, which may be more convenient. Just a head’s up! [ETA 8/14/22: Nope, none of this applies anymore, sorry.]↩︎
My Patreon may be defunct, but I sure hope I can bring back these tiers with these names at some point, because they are absolute fire and I don’t care who knows it.↩︎
Not anymore, of course, and it’s crazy that I ever thought that was a good idea, considering how slowly I write.↩︎
